Rules For Epsom Valley Campground


Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in is from 3:00–5:00 p.m.
  • Check-out is at 11:00 a.m.
  • Campers must request a late check-out or early check-in with the office.
  • Campsites must be left clean.

Late Check-In

  • If you plan to check in after 5:00 p.m., please notify the office in advance so we can either arrange for staff to be available or provide the check-in process ahead of time. Due to saftey for the grounds and guests in the park there will be no checkins past 8:00 p.m. You can arrive the next morning starting at 10:00 a.m. Please provide notice to the park of your intended arrival time if its outside our normal checkin policy.

Early Check-In and Late Check-Out

  • These are based upon availability and will never be guaranteed.
  • Make sure to call the campground at least 24 hours in advance to request availability.
  • Fees may apply.

Quiet Time

  • Quiet time must be observed from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on weekdays and 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and holidays).
  • Children must be in their campsite by dusk.

Children

  • Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children in the water and throughout the campground.
  • Minors must be accompanied to the beach by an adult.
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied to the bathroom by an adult.
  • Bikes are not to be ridden after dark, and children are required to comply with the NH helmet law.

ATVs, Mini Bikes, Mopeds, Drones, and Golf Carts

  • ATVs, mini bikes, mopeds, and drones are not allowed on campground property.
  • Weekend and transient campers are not allowed to bring golf carts on campground property.
  • Motorcycles are absolutely welcome — we do ask that all bikes have exhausts that are reasonable and not disruptive to others. Excessively loud exhaust systems are not permitted on the property out of respect for the campground community. We also ask that all riders throttle down when entering and exiting the campground.

Motor Vehicles

  • Cars must be parked at your site or designated areas only.
  • Vehicle parking is not permitted on vacant sites.
  • Speed limit is 5 mph.
  • We do ask that all vehicles have exhausts that are reasonable and not disruptive to others. Excessively loud exhaust systems are not permitted on the property out of respect for the campground community.

Electric Usage Fees

  • Fees apply on certain sites and stay types:
  • Tent sites include electricity at no additional cost.
  • Weekly and monthly stays on Premium and Waterfront RV sites will be metered and billed for electric usage per kWh set by the utility company for the current month.
  • Standard RV sites include electricity in the base rate and will not be billed separately for electric usage on weekly or monthly stays (except sites 30 & 31).

Guests

  • All guests must sign in at the office.
  • Daily guest fees are $5 per person (ages 5 to adult).
  • An overnight fee of $10 per person is assessed for guests staying overnight (ages 5 to adult).
  • Daytime guests must leave the camp by quiet time.
  • Any camper whose guests do not pay guest fees is subject to expulsion without refund.

Campsite Occupancy

  • Campsites are to be occupied by a single family consisting of a maximum of 2 parents and their 2 children under 18 years of age living at home.
  • All additional persons shall pay guest fees.
  • A maximum of 6 people are allowed overnight per campsite.
  • Campsites with more than 4 guests per day need campground approval.

Campsite Condition

  • Campsites are to be left neat and orderly.
  • Report any problems with campsites to the office.
  • There shall be no more than two (2) screen houses, EZ-up tents, and/or car covers per site, totaling not more than 300 square feet.
  • All tarps are to be green, brown, or white. No blue tarps shall be allowed.
  • No camper shall be allowed to have a tarp or other covering over their roof to prevent water intrusion. All roofs must be repaired/maintained when necessary.
  • No washing vehicles/RV’s or doing maintenance on either.

Waterfront

  • There is no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk and only within the swimming area boundaries.
  • Fishing is allowed with a current State of NH Fishing License.
  • Glass bottles are not permitted on the beach or waterfront areas.

Smoking

  • Smoking is not allowed in campground common areas.
  • Permitted to smoke on your assigned site only.

Fires and Fireworks

  • Keep fires under control and obey the fire conditions set by the campground.
  • Extinguish fires before leaving them unattended.
  • All campers accept responsibility/liability for their own campfire.
  • Fireworks are strictly prohibited.

Firewood

  • No outside firewood is permitted. Firewood can be purchased at the campground office.
  • Bringing firewood in from outside the campground will result in automatic removal of your entire group/party with no refund.

Pets

  • A maximum of 2 dogs per campsite are allowed.
  • Valid rabies certificate(s) must be presented at the office upon check-in.
  • Pets must be picked up after.
  • Pets must be kept quiet and confined when at your site.
  • Dogs must be on a 6-foot leash when walked in the camping area.
  • Dogs are not allowed on the beaches.
  • Guests are not permitted to bring their pets into the campground.
  • If a rabies certificate is not presented at check-in, you will not be allowed in until one is provided.
  • Campers are solely responsible for their pets, and the campground will not be held liable for any circumstance regarding them.

Campground Property

  • Do not deface any campground property, cut or drive nails into trees or utility poles, or dig in the ground.
  • Clothes lines are prohibited.

Dumpsters

  • There is a dumpster near the entrance of the camping sites.
  • Campers shall dispose of household rubbish only at the designated dumpster.
  • Dumpsters shallNOT be used for rubbish from camper’s primary residence, job sites, etc.
  • No tents, furniture, appliances, etc., will be disposed of in the dumpster.

Payments and Cancellations (Individual Reservations – 3 or Fewer Sites)

  • All reservations are paid in full at the time of reservation.
  • A $50 fee will be applied to all cancellations (per site).
  • Reservations canceled less than 14 days prior to check-in are non-refundable.
  • Modifications to reservation dates less than 14 days prior to arrival (including rescheduling or shortening) will incur a $50 fee.
  • All holiday reservations (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) are non-refundable.
  • There are no refunds for early departures, and no-show/no-call reservations will be charged in full with no refund.
  • All campground fees, credit card fees and booking fees are on refundable.

Group Payments & Cancellations (4 or More Sites)

  • Group reservations with a wagon master require full payment at the time of booking.
  • For groups without a wagon master, all sites must be individually claimed and paid for by the release date, or the sites will be released.
  • Small groups (3 or fewer sites) follow the standard individual policy.
  • Cancellations 30+ days prior: full refund minus $50 per-site fee.
  • Cancellations 15–29 days prior: 75% refund after $50 per-site fee.
  • Cancellations 14 days or less: entirely non-refundable.
  • Modifications less than 14 days prior: $50 fee per site.
  • All reservations including holiday weekends are non-refundable and non-modifiable.
  • No refunds for early departures or no-shows.
  • All campground fees, credit cad fees and booking fees are on refundable.

Revoke of Permit and Liability

  • Management reserves the right to revoke permit, without prior notice, any camper or guest who creates a disturbance, nuisance, or deliberately breaks any rules. No refunds will be issued.
  • The Campground is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property, nor for bodily injury. Campers assume all risk and release the Campground from liability.

Utility Storage

  • Utility trailers shall not be kept on campsites. Contact the office for storage availability (additional fees apply).
  • The Campground is not responsible for theft, vandalism, or damage to stored trailers.

Extensions

  • If you wish to extend your stay, the site is not guaranteed.
  • Guests agree to abide by all terms, including payment and rules.
  • Violations may result in cancellation, denial of access, or forfeiture of monies paid.

Lock Site Fee

  • We will guarantee your chosen site unless circumstances beyond our control prevent it.
  • If the site cannot be guaranteed, the lock site fee will be refunded, and you will be notified immediately.

Generator Use

  • Usage is at the discretion of the campground manager.

Media Release

  • Campers and guests agree that the campground may capture and use photographs, videos, or other media of you, your guests, or your property for promotional purposes without compensation or further consent.

Site

  • By completing this reservation, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the virtual tour of your selected site and accept the site in its current condition as shown.

Security

  • The campground does not provide security services; however, security cameras are installed in common areas for monitoring purposes.

Assumptinon of Risk

  • Use of all campground/property amenities, facilities, and activities — including but not limited to playground, beach, and recreational equipment — is at the sole risk of the user. The registered Guest accepts responsibility for all members of their party, including adults, minor children, and any invitees. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for the supervision of minor children in their care at all times. Guest assumes all risk of injury or loss arising from Guest's use of campground facilities and amenities, including use by any member of their party or invitees regardless of age.

Indemnity

  • By signing this permit, the permit holder agrees to accept full responsibility for all individuals occupying their site, including but not limited to family members, friends, visitors, and any other guests. The permit holder agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Epsom Valley Campground, the property owner(s), and their respective owners, operators, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, injuries, losses, costs, or liabilities arising out of or related to the permit holder's stay, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or any acts or omissions by the permit holder or any individual occupying or visiting their site. The permit holder acknowledges that outdoor recreation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to risks associated with water activities, wildlife, uneven terrain, campfires, and weather conditions, and voluntarily assumes all such risks on behalf of themselves and all members of their party.

By staying at Epsom Valley Campground, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms. Campground rules and permit terms are subject to change at any time. Continued use of campground facilities constitutes acceptance of any such changes.
